The Process (& Results) Of Hiring A Custom Brand Designer
Designing a brand isn’t just a pretty new logo or a fun website. There’s so much that goes into the strategy, creation, and approach of a creative brand project.
Working with a designer to build a custom brand will require you to dig deep to discover and define not only who you are, but who you want to work with, and how this creative process can get you where you want to be in the most meaningful way possible.
Because the most effective brands aren’t just built on a pretty exterior, they’re backed by mission, community, and meaning-making.
Here's how we'll get there together:
During the initial phase of your creative brand project, we’ll dive into the realities of what working together looks like and evaluate whether we’re a good fit. This starts with reviewing my services guide, filling out an official project inquiry, and booking a discovery call to dive deeper into the topics touched on in the inquiry form.
What we're looking for during this stage is clear communication of needs and a confident conviction that our styles are in alignment. I produce my best work when I partner with heart-led brands who embrace the human element of operating a service-based business, and I want to make sure that whoever I work with is going to benefit from the outcome and the creative process.
This is what I fondly refer to as the PRE-WORK phase. During this time, you’ll go through an in-depth brand questionnaire that’s designed to cut to the heart of your brand, your audience, and your business.
And while this part of the process can feel a little vulnerable, digging deep during this phase gives me the insight I need to A) infuse massive strategy into your brand and B) write your brand content from a place that feels authentically “you”.
It’s time for the serotonin-inducing part of the process - the deliverables!!!
Your brand design will consist of a custom brand color palette, font set, and brand kit, followed by the creation of a branded website, plus any contracted brand collateral (materials such as business stationary, guides, brochures, social media templates, and the like).
This is where you’ll really start to see your brand come to life in a truly exciting way. I make a point of delivering usable materials as soon as they're ready so you can start making your investment back as soon as possible.
